First Impression: Revlon ColourStay 24 Hours Foundation

This review has been a very long time coming. Y'know when you have really wanted something but you never have the courage to buy it incase you're disappointed, well this is what happened here. For as long as I can remember I have watched Liz's YouTube videos at iheartmakeup92 and along with MAC Prolong Concealer, Revlon ColourStay is the one product she has raved about for years and it always looked amazing on her acne-prone skin, so I thought I wonder how it would take to my own dry skin?

So after sadly pumping the last remainder of squirts from my current foundation Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid, I finally decided it was time to try something new. And luck was on my side because it was half price in Boots!

I was looking for a long time for the shade that would suit me and the paler tones were a bit too pale for me and knew would wash me out so I went for 180 Sand Beige, which is actually the same shade Liz uses. So here goes nothing.

Already one negative that I was already aware of is that fact there is no pump or anything to limit the amount you apply so carefully I poured a tiny amount onto the back of my hand. {Although I have just been informed the new version has a pump, damn!} The consistency is much creamier and liquidy than what I'm used to, normally the formula is thicker and doesn't run down my hand.

I took my egg sponge blender and started to apply. Recently, I've been trying to change my routine up for Spring and not to have as heavy coverage on my skin but this was a dream to apply. Immediately I saw a difference and it didn't feel cakey at all, the more I put on. I did at some point think, is this actually working? because it feels so natural. A major pro for me is how it covers my dark circles under my eyes, normally I need a heavy mix of foundation, concealer and a filter to feel confident but I found myself using less concealer and I took selfies afterwards without a filter!

I may have only applied a little today, but the coverage still was high and I know I could have applied more with ease without the worry of an orange cakey mess (we've all been there)

So apart from the lack of pump/applicator {on mine anyway}, I have no complaints and I wasn't disappointed, thankfully. I will probably post a heavier coverage soon to show how effortless it really is. I'm really impressed and would recommend this!

Avon | Ultra Colour Lipstick & Extra-Lasting Plump and Stay Lip Colour.

Hello loves,

First of all I want to apologise for my lack of posts and activeness on social media lately. I had my birthday (which you can read about here) then I fell ill and had zero motivation to live let alone blog and then to top it off I had no wifi for 2 weeks, nightmare! But I'm back and here to rant and rave to my heart's desire.

I want to talk about my two favourite lip products of the moment which are both from Avon. Now I know I have spoken about them before but it's honestly because it's only recently I have appreciated their brand properly and I'm now obsessed!

The first one is this gorgeous purple lip colour I'm sporting. Now I think I've mentioned this in one of my earlier posts that I was on the hunt for the perfect pigmented purple shade and luck was obviously on my side this day because I found this Ultra Colour Lipstick in their clearance brochure for the bargain price of £2.00, saving £5.50! I was sold. It's in the shade Vixen and it's that beautiful warm toned plum colour I've been searching for. Paired with their Ultra Glimmerstick Lip Liner in Deep Plum, I literally wear this everywhere, everyday whether it's to the shops, work or a night out I can't get enough. I think it even warms up my face too because I am very fair skinned even with make-up on.

The second lip combo I am adoring is a relatively new product. It's the Plump and Stay Lip Colour in Plumful from their Extra-Lasting collection. Now you'd be lying if you haven't been through the phase of dreaming of Kylie Jenner lips without the harmful side effects and surgery so I thought I'd give it a go to see if my lips actually plump out. My lips are a "normal" shape and size but I did see a difference when I applied it. It's a 2 in 1 design with the liquid lipstick on one side and the gloss on the other. I don't know exactly what is in the gloss but when you apply it in the centre of your lips it gives that tingling sensation which is a bit of a strange feeling but it doesn't last long. It also claims it lasts 8 hours so here are the results.

11AM | 5PM | 9PM
So I had it on all through my shift without any re-applying and eventhough the colour slightly faded the glossiness and pout remained. The texture is slightly tacky and sticky so if your not a fan of that this wouldn't really be for you but I do really adore this and my lips do look different which is fun. I paired it with the Ultra Glimmerstick Lip Liner in Pink Cashmere to give it that bit more definition and I got the both for £8.00 in one of the brochure offers but you can purchase the Glimmersticks for £6.00 RRP and the Plump and Stay for £8.50 RRP. But like I said every brochure has an offer so always keep an eye out, currently this look is only £5.00!

One final note, Avon have just launched their Matte lipsticks claiming they are "More Matte Than MAC" and I cannot wait to get my hands on one. I have a tester but really need to do the comparison for myself and for a fraction of the price of a MAC lipstick at only £5.50 RRP!

Anyway, have a lush day darlings.

Day 11 of #Blogmas | My Christmas List

ITS 2 WEEKS UNTIL CHRISTMAS IS IT TIME TO PANIC YET?!?

This year I'm not entirely fussed about things for me. I know people think this is such a cryptic to say when you're a girl and actually we'd get disappointed if we get nothing but I genuinely had trouble writing a list. Maybe it's because nowadays if I want something I buy it instead of waiting for my birthday or Christmas. But here's a few things on my wish list;

Adidas Superstar trainers
You can't go wrong with a good pair of trainers and yes I know everyone owns them but I took a liking to these in particular. They have a floral design instead of just black and if you know me I like things a bit different to the norm!

Ari by Ariana Grande
Ariana is one of my all time favourite people ever. She's adorable and amazing and the lungs on that girl! So you understand my excitement when she launched a fragrance but I haven't gotten around to buying it yet! Perfect stocking filler.

Leather Gloves
For the diva inside of me. I've always wanted a pair but when it comes to leather I'm VERY fussy it has to look right and not tacky. These are so cute with the fur on the end.

PJs
A staple buy every Christmas. I'm living Missguided's Nightwear range which is relatively new. It's sexy and looks super comfy too I can't wait to get some.

Daniel Wellington Watch
I've been dying for one of these since I discovered a girl on Instagram wearing it this is the "Sexy Sheffield" version with diamanté's on. Way out of my price range usually but maybe Santa knows I've been a good girl!

A Purse
I was devastated a few months ago that I lost my purse on a bus and no one was decent enough to hand it in. Luckily it only had money and no cards or personal items in. So I've been on the lookout for another perfect one. River Island purses are beautiful and stylish and very similar to the one I once had.

A Camera
Because mine is dunzo! And since my blog is just getting going id love to not have to use my iPhone for photos. I love vintage style pretty cameras (I'm SUCH a girl) but really any will do!

Chanel Boy Bag
A girl can DREAM! It's so impossible to save up for one but I am determined to get one even if I'm 50 when I get enough. This one is Kylie Jenner's and it's beautiful! Santa really will be a babe if I get one!!

Leather Skirt
Here we go again with the leather fuss. I haven't found a perfect one that is in my price range yet they're either too frumpy too slutty or too just NO! I love this one though the zip detail gives it a unique touch which I always look for!

Lipsticks
Because they are the one makeup product I can't live without! If you've seen my other posts I am very sceptical about MAC but for Christmas I can make an exception and they do the most beautiful purple shades that I need in my life!

The Sims 4
The Sims have been a part of my life growing up I had all the PS2 games and my brother sold my last The Sims pc game. But I'm so ready to try The Sims 4 since getting a laptop that I could play it on, come at me!!!

Concert Tickets
It doesn't matter what where or when, if you know me gigs are my favourite pass time. The past year I've spent watching unsigned acts but honestly if someone surprised me with Justin Bieber tickets I would DIE! He is making such bangers lately and let's be honest I've always been a closet fan!

Annnd there we have it!
A bit boring I know but as I'm older I tend to buy what I want nowadays I don't just wait for someone else to buy it for me!

What's on your Christmas list this year?
